Regan was born and raised in Yarmouth, the son of the late Richard Murphy, Q.C. of Wedgeport.
He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Commerce from Mount Allison University in 2013 and his Juris Doctor from the Dalhousie University Schulich School of Law in 2017. He articled with the firm, was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2018, and became a partner in 2022.
Regan maintains a broad practice with a particular focus on real estate transactions and land registration, including purchases, sales, refinances, and complex title and migration matters. He also advises on corporate structuring and transactions, and represents clients in criminal defence, wills and estates, and personal injury claims.
His approach is practical and results-driven. He works closely with clients to identify efficient solutions.
Regan has appeared at all levels of court in Nova Scotia, including the Small Claims Court, the Supreme Court, and the Court of Appeal.
He is a member of the Real Estate Lawyers Association of Nova Scotia (RELANS) and the Association des juristes d’expression française de la Nouvelle-Écosse (AJEFNE).
In his spare time, Regan enjoys playing sports such as hockey and golf, and spending time with his wife, newborn son, and their dog.
